For me, the above statement is so true. The creative bug bit me as a teenager, and I have pursued outlets to express myself ever since. Writing music and telling stories thru video and film have been great ways for me to grow professionally and personally.

I dropped a very enjoyable job in 2008, founded a band, and hit the road touring and playing songs from my heart. I was able to see that grow into a full time ministry leading worship. For the better part of 7 years, I was able to tour the country, meet wonderful people, and see God do some truly great things in the lives of people. Being in an independent band was the perfect setting to cultivate creative thinking skills. We were our own PR and marketing department, A&R, producer, booking, web developer, etc. That forced me to pick up a DSLR camera and learn a trade. I was able to write, record, and tour 3 major budget records in my time on the road.

In stepping away from touring in 2014, I was able plant my skills in the local church. I have thoroughly enjoyed leading worship as part of a church staff. Serve a community church has become a passion of mine. Not only leading worship, but telling stories thru film, designing and producing services, creating online church platforms, and executing social media marketing has been avenues I have loved working in.

God is always developing me. He is always shaping me. I love using the skills I have learned thru wonderful years of experience to connect people to the life changing power of Jesus Christ.
